Urbanspoon has released an updated version of its restaurant recommendation app for the iPhone, which has so far been downloaded more than 10m times.
The company says that while the app has a lot to offer, including reviews, photos and reservations, it realised that most of it was hidden behind its popular slot-machine style restaurant recommender, so had added a new main menu to help users find these features more easily. The slot machine is still there for those who like it though. 
The new version of the app includes menu item reviews: diners can upload photos of their favourite dishes and review them from the app. It also finds photos from the best restaurants near the user’s location and displays them on the homescreen.
