US Masterclass Events Filling Up

Our first US Masterclass events, which take place in New York on 6 and 7 February 2012, are filling up nicely. More than 70 delegates have so far registered for the four, half-day events, covering Retail and then Finance on the 6th, and Travel, Tourism & Culture, and then Brand & Agency on the 7th.

Retail signups include Gap, Toys “R” Us, Lord & Taylor, Coach and Saks Fifth Avenue. Financial institutions confirmed to attend the Finance Masterclass include American Express, Citibank, Prudential and JP Morgan Chase.

The Travel, Tourism & Culture sector is represented, to date, by American Airlines, Jetblue,  Starwood Hotels & Resorts, the Brooklyn Museum, and Air Canada. And confirmed attendees at the Brand & Agency session include Disney, Home Shopping Network, Mediavest, Mediacom, and MEC.

Meanwhile, our first UK Masterclass event of 2012, the Mobile Public Sector Masterclass, has so far attracted more than 40 delegates, from organisations as diverse as NHS Choices, the Ministry of Justice, Hackney Borough Council, the Natural History Museum, and the University of Nottingham.

At each Masterclass event, delegates, who attend for free, here from a range of mobile experts with experience in their sector, about the hop topics in mobile marketing, from mobile advertising and apps, to mobile sites, location-based services and Augmented Reality.

After a brief introduction to each company, the mobile experts spend 15 minutes with a small group of delegates on one table, where the delegates can put any questions they have about their own mobile journey to the speakers. After 15 minutes, the experts move round one table, so that by the end of the half-day event, every delegate has had the opportunity to talk to each of the mobile experts. Feedback from our 2011 Masterclass series suggests that this is where the event delivers real value.
