US Mobile Ad Spend More than Doubles to $7.1bn

Block of AndroidsMobile ad spend in the US stood at $7.1bn (£4.2bn) during 2013, according to the IAB and PwC. Thats a year-on-year increase of 110 per cent, up from $3.4bn in 2013.

Mobile accounted for 17 per cent of the overall digital ad spend of $42.8bn – which exceeded broadcast TV advertising revenues ($40.1bn) for the first time ever.

These figures follow on from the UK report released earlier this week, which showed that mobile ad revenues had broken £1bn, up 93 per cent on the previous year.
