Users Not Responding to Facebook Reactions

Facebook ReactionsThe Reactions introduced by Facebook in February – enabling users to go beyond the like and react with love, wow, haha, sad or angry – has failed to gather any momentum with users.

Thats according to a Quintly study, analysing 130,000 Facebook posts during April, which found that Reactions made up just 2.4 per cent of all interactions with Facebook posts. By comparison, comments made up 7.2 per cent, shares 14 per cent and likes a mighty 76.4 per cent.

Of the Reactions on offer, by far the most popular was love (50.8 per cent), suggesting that Facebook users are keen to react positively rather than negatively to posts. You can see the full breakdown below. To put this in context, though, the number of loves was less than one-sixtieth the amount of Likes posted during the same period.

Interestingly, though, Reactions seem to fare slightly better on video posts, making up 5.1 per cent of all interactions – with love again accounting for the majority.
