Vehicle Protection Brief for Telit

Polish insurer AutoGuard & Insurance GmbH GmbH has chosen M2M solutions provider Telit to power its vehicle protection and monitoring products. Telits GE864 module was chosen out of numerous options evaluated by the company.
Under the terms of the partnership, Telits GE864 M2M module will be integrated in AutoGuards S4, S2, S3A and S3L devices, as well as in its Personal Localizer.
AutoGuard S4 is designed to protect vehicles against theft and perform vehicle management functions. It is a small and economic tool with a wide range of functionalities.
AutoGuard S2 provides active vehicle protection and management. It combines various functionalities, such as the reception of signals from 24 GPS satellites, a GSM mobile phone network and 24/7 surveillance through a control center.
The latest device AutoGuard S3 was designed in two versions: AutoGuard S3A and AutoGuard S3L. Both solutions allow vehicles to be monitored using the GSM network and located via GPS. AutoGuard S3A is primarily designed to perform a car alarm function, whereas AutoGuard S3L is a logistics device that offers an extended feature set in comparison to AutoGuard S4.
The Personal Localizer is a portable device. Just like a mobile phone, it is equipped with a sensitive GPS receiver and features an integrated antenna, GSM modem and Bluetooth interface.
AutoGuard has been looking for a leading M2M partner to ensure we can continue and deliver innovative solutions to our customers, says AutoGuard & Insurance President, Robert Rozeslaniec. Telits ability to respond quickly to our stringent demands means that we can introduce our solutions to the market faster and with less complexity than our competitors. In the end, it became clear that Telit was the only vendor who could deliver the combination of cutting-edge innovation and a commitment to our success.
Telit says its GE864 module is ideally suited to AutoGuard applications. It says the units external dimensions of just 30 x 30 x 2.8mm, and its weight of 7g, make it suitable for applications that require a very compact form. Telit says the module is also ideal for applications with large volumes, such as automotive and fleet management.
