Vesta, which specialises in electronic payment solutions, and Jibe Mobile, a real-time communications platform provider, have teamed up to create an enhanced mobile payments app designed for operators and handset manufacturers, writes Eva McGarr. The two companies will showcase the app at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week.

The collaboration, via Jibe’s ‘App to App’ platform, enables customers to top up accounts, pay bills and buy digital goods through their handsets. The offering incorporates Vesta-powered digital content and application purchases with the Jibe platform’s Rich Communication Suite (RCS). As with all Vesta’s payment solutions, the application is 100 per cent PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliant, and fully indemnifies the operator against fraud losses.
