Voda Launches IOUs

Vodafone UK is introducing Vodafone IOU, an out-of-credit service for its Pay as you talk customers, to make sure that they can always use their phone when they cant top up. Customers can set up the IOU service by texting IOU to 468 or by calling 468 from their handset.
IOU is available to all Pay as you talk customers who have been with Vodafone for more than 30 days and have topped up at least 5. Once a customer adds the Vodafone IOU service to their account, they'll receive an additional 2 of calling credit to use until their next top up. From then on, the ability to borrow 2 of IOU credit will always be there. Customers can use their IOU credit for voice, text or data services, including mobile web browsing and music track downloads. The amount of IOU credit the customer has used will then be deducted from their next Top Up, along with a 30p service charge. 
Customers can check their balance at any time to find out how much IOU has been spent and how much IOU credit they still have available to use.
Vodafone customers can top up online or in around 150,000 outlets across the UK, including ATMs, Vodafone stores, convenience shops, supermarkets and petrol stations.
