Scandinavian online film service Voddler has launched a movie app for Nokias Meego platform and the Nokia N9.
The app is free from the Ovi Store, and allows users to rent movies and also view ad-supported free titles.
The new app arrives in the wake of Voddler apps for Symbian, iOS, and Android in the last few months.
“After the Nokia Symbian app that we launched in September, we are very happy to add another app for yet another Nokia platform,” says Anders Sjöman, VP of communication at Voddler. “We continue to expand our platform base, to meet our goal of offering you Voddler exactly when and where you are, regardless of which screen you happen to have nearby.”
At launch, the app has about 250 movies activated for mobiel viewing, says the company. New titles will be added on a running basis from Voddlers growing catalog of over 4,500 titles.
“Were happy to continue our partnership with Voddler, and to bring this path-breaking app also to our Meego-platform,” says Christophe Joyau, head of services at Nokia North.
The app is available in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland from the Nokia Ovi Store.
