Wayra Exec Joins Kiosked Smart Content Board

Simon DevonshireSimon Devonshire, director of Telefonicas Wayra Europe academy, has been announced as an advisory member to digital content monestisation platform Kiosked.

Kiosked announced a $6.9m round of funding back in September, which they said would enable them to expand their platform to make the world shoppable into mobile.

When something is Kiosk-enabled, the consumer sees a small ‘K’ when hovering over the corner of the content. When clicked, or swiped, a carousel pops up with items for purchase, including context-related buys. ‘Keen on buying a holiday, do you want sunglasses?’ type stuff.
Devonshire is also an advisor to the UK governments Department of Business Innovation and Skills, as well as director of The Local Data Company. He said: “Kiosked is the very embodiment of the profound change that is happening in media and content publishing. Kiosked calls it smart content. Kiosked is making it possible for brands, publishers and consumers to interact and engage with each other in a new way.”
