WATCH: Warner Bros unveils ‘Break Free’ ad celebrating Paris ahead of the Olympics

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has launched a new campaign,Break Freeencouraging sports fans to embrace the excitement of the city and the Olympic Games in Paris.

In partnership with creative agency, AKQA London, the 60-second spot highlights Paris as the ultimate playground for the world’s top athletes, ahead of a summer of sports.

TheBreak Free’ campaign promotes Max, HBO Max and Discovery+ as the exclusive platforms for watching every moment of the tournament.

The campaign, a global production involving teams from France, London, Montevideo and Los Angeles, will be broadcast across 50 European countries in 20 languages.

The campaign will feature on TV, DOOH, radio, social media, display and print.

WBD Sports Europe, VP of Marketing, David Bernard-Bret, said:Our ambition was to create an exciting, vibrant and joyful film that was bursting with life while encapsulating our mantra of breaking free – achieved during the Olympics through the most immersive and user-friendly viewing experience anywhere with every moment of Paris 2024 available at your fingertips on Max, HBO Max or discovery+ across Europe.”

“There are four or five different bands to the film – you have got the gold moment, you have got the emotional moment, we’ve got Paris as the centrepiece, and then of course the sporting moment. We are trying to convey that sense of breathlessness with the action.”
