Wearable Tech Gets Dedicated Storefront on Amazon

Wearables AssortedAmazon has launched a storefront specifically for Wearable Technology, which lists devices including activity trackers, smartwatches and wearable cameras from companies like Samsung, Jawbone and Misfit.

The online retailer says its introduced the category now because wearables have “recently captured the imagination of customers with the introduction of new, exciting products”.

The store features a Learning Center with detailed buying guides, which feature information about device compatibility, use-case suggestions and product comparisons.

“Wearable technology is an exciting category with rapid innovation and our customers are increasingly coming to Amazon to shop and learn about these devices,” said John Nemeth, director of wireless and mobile electronics at Amazon. “We’re thrilled to bring our customers a store with the largest selection and great prices that helps eliminate the guesswork when deciding which wearable devices best fit their needs.”

Based on our tests, however, the department currently isnt available on Amazons mobile site.
