The Weather Channel and research firm comScore are the latest companies to sign up for the Mobile Retail Summit, which takes place on 24 April at The Grange St. Paul’s in London.
The Weather Channel joins the event as a Gold Sponsor, while comScore has signed up as a Case Study Sponsor. They join existing sponsors Brainstorm (Platinum); Trademob, Urban Airship, Millennial Media and myThings (Gold); Clash Group and Glue Isobar (Silver); and mPitch Sponsor, Omnico.
Retailers speaking at the event include Sienne Veit, head of mobile at Morrisons, whose first transactional mobile site, Morrisons Cellar, went live in November. She is joined by Shivani Tejuja, eCommerce & multichannel director at New Look; Sean McKee, head of eCommerce at Schuh; and Roger Wade, director of Boxpark. Retailers attending the event as delegates include Ted Baker, Marks & Spencer, Clinique, Argos and Wickes.
The conference will kick off with a presentation from Matthew Hopkinson, director of the Local Data Company, who will offer delegates a warts-and-all presentation on the current state of the high street.
Following the conference, we will be staging the Mobile Retail Awards Ceremony at the same venue. The Awards have been created to recognise excellence in mobile marketing in the retail community, and there is still time to enter. The deadline for entries is Thursday, 28 March. Entry is free, and its also pretty simple. Just download the Entry Form from the Mobile Retail Summit website and fill it in; it should take no longer than 15 minutes to do so.
There are 10 categories, some aimed directly at retailers, others, such as the Best Mobile Advertising Campaign and Best Mobile Couponing Campaign, are more likely to come from the expert partners they work with in these areas. In fact, we welcome joint entries from retailers and their mobile marketing partners in all categories.
The Awards presentation will take place in the Novello restaurant at the Grange St. Paul’s from 6pm onwards on 24 April, immediately after the Summit itself. If you’re a retailer or an agency and would like to submit an entry, click here to download the Entry Form.
