Webbys Voting Brief for Roundpoint

Mobile developer Roundpoint has developed a mobile voting application for mobile Internet sites nominated for the prestigious 12th annual Webby Awards 2008.
The Webby Awards are the leading international awards honouring online excellence. They are presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a 550-member body of leading web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities. Nominees for this years awards include The Guardian and the BBC.
Following the success of the mobile voting system created by Roundpoint for last years Webby Awards, the company was asked to deliver a voting system for the mobile Internet category this year. The voting system allows voters to see who has entered the competition in each category (Entertainment, Gaming, Listings and Updates, Mobile Marketplace and Services, News, Social Networking and Sports). They can then vote for their favourite mobile Internet site via the mobile Internet or by SMS.
Roundpoint has been developing bespoke mobile applications since 1998. These have included assessments, demographic information data capture, voting systems and event guides. The company also offers mobile publishing, mobile marketing, alert services and gaming solutions.
