Welcome to the latest preview of whats on offer at Mobile Marketing Live, focusing on one of the sectors represented at our 2-day conference, exhibition and networking event. Theres so much going on that its necessary to narrow the focus a little – this time, to look at the app ecosystem.
Its a broad church, and something which were sure will bleed into many of the presentations. Brands including Dominos Pizza and Debenhams will be discussing their app strategy, while Fords Duncan Burrell will take an M2M-focused look at the topic, explaining how the manufacturer is starting to integrate apps into its cars.
For any attendees taking their first – or even second or third – steps into the app ecosystem, Bob Schukai from business intelligence firm Thomson Reuters will be providing a masterclass in mobile app design and development in his presentation, Building Great Apps Starts with Great Design.
Richard Firminger from app analytics company Flurry will pick out some of the key trends in app user behaviour and usage, and what they might mean for the future of apps, as well as how brands, advertisers and developers can better approach acquiring and retaining customers through the apps they produce.
Trademobs Ravi Kamran will look at data-driven app marketing, with cases studies from mobile advertisers such as eBay Classifieds, Wooga and Universal Music – and how app marketing can help grow a loyal user base and increase ROI by as much as 70 per cent.
Finally, presentations from companies including Blippar and Shazam, whose reputations are built around a successful app, and Qualcomm, which provides the technology which powers a whole range of apps, will fill out the topic.
