William Hill Goes on NearMe to get Near You

William Hill, the UK’s largest bookmaker, has placed all its 2,390 high street retail locations on the NearMe location-based iPhone app, confirming its continued adoption of mobile technology to support the increasing demand from its customers for convenient access to betting, casino and bingo services. The move is designed to drive footfall and provide timely information around the firm’s network of traditional high street betting shops.
“We are now a strong multichannel business, and The NearMe service provides a key opportunity to provide invaluable information to our existing loyal customers, in addition to attracting new mobile-savvy clients into our network of locations,” said Fiona Stevenson, head of mobile marketing for William Hill.
Customers accessing William Hill on NearMe will be presented with the six nearest branches to their location, with the exact distance, full address, telephone number and links to the William Hill website. Mapping and directions, along with automated posting of activity on social networks, is also included.
The launch campaign, starting today, will also include uniquely-coded coupons that could see customers receiving inaugural offers to bet on the FA Cup, Champions League and the Scottish Cup.
