Will.i.am Unveils His Own Smartwatch, Coming July

Pop star Will.i.am has unveiled a smartwatch, developed by a company which he founded and backed with his own money.
The watch – which is set to be released in July – doesnt seem to have a name yet, but the first prototype was shown off by Will.i.am himself on UK chat show Alan Carr: Chatty Man. (You can watch the clip below.)
The watch wont require pairing with a smartphone, and will be able to make calls directly. This functionality has been absent from most of the bigger smartwatch launches weve seen so far, but isnt a first – Burg and Neptune both have independent devices on the market or launching in the coming months. 
Its not clear what OS Will.i.ams watch will use – and its appearance on the TV show only provided the briefest glimpse of the UI – but Facebook, Twitter and Instagram apps are slated to run on the device.
