WM-data, a LogicaCMG company, has announced a partnership with AdaptiveMobile, which provides mobile usage protection and mobile security software. The partnership offers network operators a mobile security package that includes filters for Web/WAP, MMS, SMS and email, and a complete handset virus recovery product portfolio.
WM-data will market and sell AdaptiveMobiles product portfolio, and provide deployment and support services, while AdaptiveMobile will assume responsibility for design, product maintenance and the technical solution.
AdaptiveMobile provides unified mobile customer protection across all mobile technologies, security threats and media types. This includes protection against illegal or inappropriate content, viruses and malware, unsolicited messaging, and unauthorised communications. It enables mobile operators to offer parental controls to protect minors, and to extend corporate security policies through to mobile assets. It works across all mobile services (WAP, SMS, MMS, email), all forms of access (mobile, including GPRS and 3G mobile, wi-fi, WiMax) and for all media, including mobile Internet, text, images, music, voice and video.
