woZZon
has launched it search engine as an Android application. The
woZZon search engine, which took the top prize in Nokias Calling All
Innovators 2009 competition, gives access to a comprehensive event
database of 60,000 geo-coded venues and 90,000 events across 15 genres
in the UK, including art, film, music, theatre, comedy, restaurants,
clubs, family and special events.
Someone looking for music events
in Manchester, for example, can choose from over 1,000 gigs, or refine
their search for any date or category from rock or jazz to electronica
or celtic folk.
The app offers a GPS location finder, interactive
map view, venue and event images, as well as address, telephone number
and event description entires. The woZZon Android app is available as a
free download from Android Market.
