6Wunderkinder has reworked the pricing model for its organiser app Wunderkit, to make it free. Or, at least, freemium – free accounts will give users access to basic features, while paid accounts are being rebranded as Pro, with full access, cositng $4.99 per month.
“Many of you voiced concerns about our initial pricing plan,” says Matthew Bostock, product marketing manager at 6Wunderkinder, in a blog post. “You worried that by using a free account you were not able to get involved with other peoples projects, and the fact that your friends would have to pay if they wanted to join yours. We thought about it for a little while and said, You know what? Theyre totally right. And with that, Im happy to announce that were not putting a price on collaboration. It should be free for all.”
Wunderkit was developed using $4.2m of funding from Skype and Kazaa co-founder Nick Zennström.
