Playables offers free games accessible on the YouTube website or via the tech giant’s app on iOS.

Previously available only to a limited number of users in select markets, Playables is now being rolled out to a wider audience.

With over 75 games available, including popular titles like Angry Birds Showdown and Cut the Rope, YouTube is focusing on “lightweight, entertaining games” designed for short play sessions rather than the longer, more immersive games typically found on the App Store, the company revealed.

YouTube joins other companies like Netflix, which has been offering in-app games since 2021 and has started testing games on Apple TV, and The New York Times, which also provides dedicated games.
