Zapp Partners with Worldpay for 2014 Launch

Zapp, a mobile payments solution funded by the banks via joint-owned Vocalink, has announced a strategic partnership with Worldpay.
The Zapp solution, apparently ‘the UKs leading mobile payment brand’, has both merchant and customer-facing elements but is only set to go live on iOS, Android and Windows Phone in 2014. WorldPay has been brought on board to help fight fraud and combat basket abandonment when the solution launches.
“WorldPay is focused on providing our customers with access to as many different payment types as possible,” said Ron Kalifa, deputy chairman of WorldPay. “Its vital for businesses in the UK to have access to a range of robust, secure and fast payment services, so mobile payments with Zapp will be another great option for our customers.”
