image001Augmented reality technology company Zappar has worked with shoe manufacturer Crocs to add a new layer of engagement to their Jibbitz shoe charms.

Using Zappars free app, the charms, designed to accessorise childrens footware, can trigger an interactive AR experience. There are four different interactive charm packs with different designs, from a Battlefield paint ball tank game to pampering a kitten in the Pet Salon.

“Crocs is a great partner to showcase Zappar content in new and fun ways,” said Caspar Thykier, founder and CEO of Zappar. “This ground-breaking new range of Jibbitz is an excellent example of the ways in which childrens charms are becoming more interactive. Add a bit of magic to your shoes by turning them into a game, whenever and wherever!”

“Were always looking for new ways to create engaging moments for children, and Zappar has allowed us to do exactly that,” said Matt Lafon, senior director of global licensing for Jibbitz and Childrens Footwear at Crocs. “By providing zappable content to a range of our popular shoe charms, we take the excitement levels up a notch and provide an instant wow for children and parents alike.”
