Property site Zoopla has reported an 86 per cent jump in mobile traffic year-on-year, with smartphones and tablets now accounting for over half of visits.
Overall, visits to the companys sites and apps – which include Prime Location, Homes Overseas and SmartNewHomes, as well as Zoopla itself – are up 34 per cent from last year, averaging 45.5m visits each month in the four months to 31 July.
At the start of the year, rival property site Rightmove reported that 37 per cent of its traffic came from mobile. However, The Financial Times pointed to figures from house broker Jefferies which estimated that the company’s monthly average revenue per user are over double Zooplas, at £671 and £312 respectively.
