Facebook’s Oculus has been working on a pair of gloves that places people’s hands into VR – enabling the user to type on a virtually.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed the prototype for the white gloves amongst pictures posted from his visit to the Oculus Research lab in Redmond, Washington. However, he did not make it clear how far off the gloves are from being publicly available, if ever.

“Were working on new ways to bring your hands in virtual and augmented reality. Wearing these gloves, you can draw, type on a virtual keyboard, and even shoot webs like Spider Man,” said Zuckerberg on Facebook.

Facebook acquired Oculus back in 2014 for $2bn – with the intention of creating the ‘most social platform ever’.

Zuckerberg said: “The goal is to make VR and AR what we all want it to be: glasses small enough to take anywhere, software that lets you experience anything, and technology that lets you interact with the virtual world just like you do with the physical one.”
