Amazon has opened up its in-car Cloud Player music service, which it launched together with Ford earlier this year, for iOS devices.

Through the Amazon MP3 app on their iPhone, iPad or iPod, users can take music bought from the retailer and wirelessly play it on the audio system of any SYNC AppLink-enabled cars, controlled either through dashboard controls or voice recognition.

AppLink is available in the 2013 Ford Fiesta, Mustang, Focus, E-Series, C-MAX Hybrid, Expedition, Fusion, F-150 and Super Duty models.

Cloud Player was made available to Ford-driving Android users back in February.
