ARCHOS Unveils 250GB Android Tablet

ARCHOS, best known for its portable media players, has launched a 250GB Android tablet. The ARCHOS 70 boasts a slim and lightweight design, high-resolution capacitive touchscreen, a 1GHz processor, and built-in wi-fi. Even with its 250GB hard drive, ARCHOS notes that at 7.91 x 4.49 x 0.55 inch, and weighing just 14 oz, it is the slimmest and lightest tablet on the market.

The device joins ARCHOS’s line-up of Android tablets, which includes models with screen sizes ranging from 2.8 to the 10.1-inch. It is available now for $350 via the ARCHOS website. It comes with a web browser and email app, Flash 10.1, HDMI connectivity, mobile phone tethering, and home streaming from a PC. It also has a built-in webcam and 3-D animated photo frame capability, with the ability to display pictures from Facebook, Flickr and Picasa via wi-fi.
