Barclaycard has launched an app that offers mobile vouchers from brands like Pizza Express, Shell and Tesco to iOS and Android users, as well via a website.
Barclaycard customers come pre-registered and will already receive email marketing making them aware of the new service. Using their spend history, they will be pre-segmented for different types of offers.
New users can choose preferences for the offers, named things like adrenaline junky, tech savvy and foody. Once registered, users select to have push notifications with local and tailored offers delivered to their handset.
The app was built by Infovision, a Texas-based global IT services firm.
