Network operator Digicel has acquired an analytics tool from device intelligence firm Mobilethink. The tool will enable the operator to analyse the composition of the installed base of devices of its 11m customers in the Caribbean, Central America and the Pacific basin markets, and how to turn the devices attached to its network into business advantage.
“Digicel sees significant revenues arising from Mobilethink’s device analytics solution,” says Mario Assaad, Digicel Group CTO. “Now we can better extract and analyse the diversity of the installed base of mobile devices in our networks, and use this intelligence across markets and departments to launch new services and targeted campaigns in an intelligent way.”
The analytics tool is bolted onto Digicel’s existing business intelligence solution, and data is pushed from Mobilethink’s servers in Denmark to Digicel’s centralised data warehouse.
