Doro Reveals Second Smartphone for Seniors

Doro has revealed the Liberto 810, its second-ever smartphone.

The handset isnt going to break any records with its specs but, as with all Doro devices, the USP is a focus on ease of use, particularly aimed at older users.

The handset has a touchscreen, but also features three physical buttons for back, home and menu navigation. The Liberto runs on a modified version of Android 4.1, with simplified menus courtesy of the Doro Experience UI and a selection of pre-installed apps intended to make basic functionality easier to access – including SwiftKey for predictive text.

“We are liberating those who perceive smartphones to be overly complicated and crowded with difficult-to-use apps,” said Chris Millington, managing director of Doro UK and Ireland. “The combination of our easy-to-use philosophy and smartphone technology make this a truly unique product.  It certainly offers much more to British consumers and network operators alike.”

The Liberto will go on sale in the UK this October.
