Fax solutions provider OpenText and cloud desktop provider Cortado have released the Cortado Connector for RightFax, enabling customers to send faxes directly from iOS, Android and BlackBerry smartphones via their fax server solution.
“With the connector, we are expanding the application range of our fax server to mobile devices. At the same time, we are meeting the demand for mobilisation and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) programmes,” says Martin van Ginkel, Strategic Alliance Manager for EMEA, at OpenText. “The Cortado solution is the perfect companion, as it securely optimises desktop features for smartphone and Tablet devices, which makes it the most secure solution for mobile distribution of business critical documents.” 
Customers running a RightFax server running in conjunction with both the Cortado Connector for RightFax and the Cortado Corporate Server can also access files via smartphone, view database reports, or print. Corporate Server acts as a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution in the back end, while providing secure administration.
