Gemalto and du Partner to Deploy M2M Solution in UAE

Gemalto is working together with local telco du to deploy its Machine Identification Module (MIM) technology in UAE (United Arab Emirates).
The deployment bring Gemaltos Cinterion MIM cards – a specialised M2M (Machine to Machine) SIM card – to M2M initiatives in the UAE, across various sectors including oil and gas, healthcare, power management, and transportation.
The solution allows for remote machines to directly communicate with central management systems and enable increased productivity. 
“M2M communication is a dynamic collaborative tool and is perfectly suited for core sectors such as oil and gas, manufacturing, transportation and healthcare,” said du CCO Farid Faraidooni. “This is an emerging new focus area for us as part of our strategy to tap new business models and revenue streams. We chose Gemalto for their expertise in M2M technology which exemplifies our reliable and enhanced services to our customers.”
