GetJar Launches GetJar Ads

Independent mobile app store GetJar, which boasts over 20 million downloads a month, has announced the roll out of its GetJar Ads program to its 200,000-plus mobile application developer community.
GetJar Ads is a pay-per-performance advertising service that allows developers to display contextual advertising as mobile applications are being used, earning revenue as consumers click on ads. Additionally, GetJar is running a promotion for developers that will help them secure up to 1,000 new downloads. 
GetJar says initial pilot results of GetJar Ads have been encouraging, with payouts among the highest available in mobile advertising. Medieval Software, a developer from Italy, says that the profits generated from the GetJar Ads trial alone were enough to cover the companys operating costs.

  • Get Ads – Developers can generate revenue with GetJar in-apps ads by including text and banner ads from the GetJar network into the app and profit from industry-leading rates. To get started on GetJar, developers create an account and upload their mobile app. GetJar is currently offering developers a $50 Pay Per Download credit which it says equates to around 1,000 downloads of their new app by consumers. Once signed up as part of the GetJar developer community, developers can sign-up for participation in the GetJar Ads program.
