Connected games and applications developer Hands-On Mobile has announced the launch of Yatta Video, a mobile video-sharing service, with Vodafones network in France, SFR. In just a few clicks, mobile users can submit a video that other users can download and rate. Anyone who submits a video also has the opportunity to earn money, and the more their videos are viewed and rated, the more money they can make.
Yatta Videos intuitive interface makes it quick and easy to upload a video. Users simply send their clip to Yatta via MMS. Yattas moderation process ensures all videos are checked before they go live for download. The clips are then organised into easily-searchable categories. Once categorised, users simply search, download and leave their comments, rating the videos.
Each video download costs between 0.50 (0.35)and 1, depending on the category and content type. The director (the person who submitted the video) earns 10% of the download price each time his or her video is downloaded by another user. Once the director hits 15 in earnings, Yatta Video sends their payment via Paypal.
Yatta Video is an innovative and original service, says Paul Colback, Lifestyle Director at Hands-On Mobile. It offers a quality service to all fans of video sharing thanks to the moderation of content, and an excellent payment process which gives a strong incentive for users to submit great videos. Everyone can have fun with Yatta Video, either through experiencing great content or submitting content and taking the opportunity to make money and grab a little fame!
Thibault Demartial, who is responsible for Community Services at SFR adds:
Were happy to include Yatta in our services on Vodafone live as it reflects an innovative approach to the community market on mobile by rewarding the directors of the most downloaded videos.
