Hands-On Mobile, which develops connected games and applications, has announced the launch of the LEGO Brick Breaker mobile game. Developed and published in partnership with Kiloo and TT Publishing, LEGO Brick Breaker combines addictive arcade gameplay with an engaging storyline, all wrapped round the fun and universally recognised LEGO brand.
LEGO Brick Breaker is a retro style arcade game where players enter a quest to defy an evil king and rescue the imprisoned people of LEGO World by using a modifiable bat to smash a ball through LEGO bricks. The game features LEGO characters and strong graphics, as well as deep and challenging gameplay through a story mode that involves and engages the player.
LEGO Brick Breaker is the latest in a series of LEGO games we have produced, all of which have proved extremely popular with a wide demographic, says Eric Hobson, President and General Manager EMEA, Hands-On Mobile. The success of many mobile games often depends on the strength of the associated brand, and in the LEGO brand, we have one of the strongest, most recognised brands in the world. The LEGO brand is loved by all generations, for whom LEGO inspired mobile games often bring a nostalgic touch of entertainment to their day.
As players contend with the evil king they must free LEGO characters who have been held captive behind a variety of LEGO structures set across several themed game worlds. The player can free the characters by knocking out all of the LEGO Bricks on the level through deflecting one or several balls with a bat. The gameplay is enhanced through the availability of a multitude of power ups that enhance or hinder the players progress including multiple balls, shrinking and growing the bat or reversing the direction the player is trying to move in.
We always enjoy working with Hands-On Mobile and Kiloo to develop LEGO games for mobile, and LEGO Brick Breaker has been no exception, says TT Publishing Business Development Director, Garry Edwards. These games prove immensely popular with mobile gamers, both young and the young at heart. We look forward to leveraging the LEGO brand in the future to bring more LEGO games to mobile gamers around the world.
