Mobixell Networks, which provides rich-media mobile data solutions, has raised $10m (£6.3m) from major global investors, enabling the company to further pursue its ambitious growth strategy by providing mobile rich-data optimisation and management solutions to mobile operators. The funding round, which was led by Azini Capital, included existing investors, Escalate Capital, Intel Capital, and smac partners.
The companys flagship product, Mobixell Seamless Access, helps mobile operators to achieve overall network efficiency, increase web and video consumption, and data services monetisation, while improving end?user experience and reducing operators total cost of ownership (TCO).
Seamless Access provides intelligent optimisation techniques for media and video, including behavior-based optimisation, caching, content-aware transcoding, and network-aware optimization, which includes dynamic bit rate adaptation and automatic cell congestion detection.

Mobixell will be celebrating its 10th year of operation this year. The company has presence in multiple countries around the world including the UK, US, China, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Finland, Ireland, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, India, Japan Israel and other countries. Its customer base includes more than 350 mobile operators worldwide, including Verizon Wireless, Vodafone, Telefonica, Orange, Telecom Italia and China Mobile.
