Nearly a Million Android Devices Activated Every Day

900,000 Android devices are being activated every day, according to Googles mobile SVP Andy Rubin. That numbers up from the 850,000 Rubin announced during MWC in February of this year; from 700,000 in December 2011, and 300,000 in December 2010. Not too shabby.
The figure, as with the others, comes from an update on Rubins Twitter account, which read: “No plans to leave Google. Oh, and just for meme completeness – there are over 900,000 android devices activated each day :-)” 
The tweet came in response to rumours that Rubin was leaving the company to join start-up company CloudCar. But with numbers like that, staying is perhaps understandable.
