QR codes – love them or hate them, its hard to deny that they have they come with certain limitations. One of which is their number of possible applications. Theyre great on posters, print ads or websites, but theyre hardly well suited to TV ads. Nerdindustries, however, thinks it has the solution – QRmovies.
Developed as a plugin for Adobe After Effects, QRmovie can create adaptive QR codes which can change their appearance to match the video content they are placed on.
Its an interesting idea, certainly, even if its difficult to imagine them appearing on the big-budget TV and cinema ads of tomorrow.
