Netbiscuits to Sponsor Mobile Retail Summit

Netbiscuits is the latest mCommerce solutions provider to sign up as a sponsor for the Mobile Retail Summit, being staged by Mobile Marketing on 26 January 2012 at the Victoria Plaza Hotel in London.

Netbiscuits has signed up as a Silver sponsor, and joins Velti (Gold), and Venda (Bronze) as principal sponsors of the event, which also has the backing of the IMRG, the IAB and the MMA.

Netbiscuits’ European sales director, Duncan Hallas, will also be speaking at the event, on how to build a mobile site and integrate it with your back-end systems. He joins other  speakers and panellists, including  Russell Buckley, chief marketing officer at Eagle Eye Solutions; Helen Keegan, specialist in Mobile Marketing, Advertising & Media; Sarah Baillie, mobile commerce coordinator at Debenhams; Matt Gierhart, head of social at Ogilvy; Amanda Rosenberg, mobile business development manager, EMEA, at Google,; Mary Carol Harris, vice president, mobile development at Visa Europe; Paul Francis, head of commercial systems at Dominos Pizza Group; Andrew Emmerson, senior business analyst at JD Williams; Iain Herd, head of EMEA Mobile at PayPal; and Simon Burke, chairman of Hobbycraft and Eagle Eye Solutions, who will deliver the keynote address.

The event aims to educate retail executives on all aspects of mobile marketing. It is broken down into four distinct sections. The first session, ‘On Device’ will look at how retailers can harness the power of mobile phones to engage with consumers and sell to them, via mobile sites and apps, explaining how to develop mCommerce sites and apps, and drive consumers to them.

The second session, ‘Driving Footfall’, looks at how mobile can be used to drive footfall into retail outlets, and how it can be successfully combined with other channels. This session will cover mobile CRM and loyalty programmes; mobile advertising; mobile couponing; location-based services; and mobile social.

The third section, ‘In Store’, will look at how retailers can use mobile in store. This will cover the use of QR codes and Augmented Reality in store to deliver information to shoppers about items they are interested in; iPad kiosks; mobile queue-busting solutions; and mobile payments.

The final session, ‘The Future’, looks at the future of mCommerce. This session will explore cutting-edge mobile technologies and initiatives, such as virtual stores, that promise to turn the traditional idea of retailing on its head.

Throughout the day, delegates will hear from thought-leaders in each field, and from retailers, sharing their experiences of going mobile. The event is free for retailers to attend. For non-retailers, a delegate pass costs £595. IMRG members who are not from the retail community can take advantage of a 10 per cent discount to attend, sponsor or exhibit.

The conference programme has been shaped by the event Steering Committee, including John Bovill, group IT director at Aurora Fashions; Andrew Emerson from JD Williams; Russell Buckley, CMO at Eagle Eye Solutions; Josh Taylor Dadds, assistant brand manager at Pizza Express; and Mobile Marketing editor, David Murphy.

Alongside the conference, the exhibition offers an opportunity for 20 mobile solutions vendors to showcase their expertise in an environment that is focused 100 per cent on mobile. There are just 12 exhibition stand spaces remaining. For more details of sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, contact John Owen on +44 (0) 77696 74824 or at: [email protected]
