O2 and Vodafone Switch on 4G Today

O2 and Vodafone will both switch on 4G today, marking the first time EE will have competition for customers looking to increase their mobile broadband speed.

Vodafone 4G goes live in London, while O2 will also switch on Leeds and Bradford along with the Capital. EE announced yesterday that it now covers 100 towns and cities.

O2 is hosting a special show tonight featuring Plan B at the Shepherds Bush Empire. It is also exclusively launching the 4G version of Googles Nexus 7 tablet today. Neither operator will be able to offer 4G iOS devices but both Vodafone and O2 have now revealed their SIM-only and with-device tariffs.
