Over Half a Million Mobile Viewers Accessed BBCs Glasto Coverage

Mobile devices accounted for 42 per cent of traffic to the BBCs online coverage of Glastonbury last weekend.
The number of unique browsers accessing the coverage reached a record 1.5m – an increase of 98 per cent from the last Glastonbury two years ago. 25 per cent of those (around 399,000 users) came from mobile phones and 17 per cent from tablets (252,000).
Saturday saw a higher proportion of mobile viewers than any other day, reaching 45 per cent, but the Arctic Monkeys set on Friday proved the most popular on mobile, making up 59 per cent of requests.
The event also drove usage of the BBC iPlayer Radio app, attracting around 109,000 downloads over the weekend, bringing its total downloads to 2.6m.
