Rogers Communications, Canada’s largest wireless provider, has selected Value Added Services (VAS) firm OnMobile Global to help it roll out its Rogers One Number solution, which includes a variety of communication services, across video, messaging, and voice.
OnMobile has provided the Rogers One Number service with several media solutions, including the Network Address Book (NAB), Social Network Gateway (SNG), PhoneBackup and PhoneBook clients, as well as its Video Gateway solutions to help deliver a new, secure way to talk, text or email family and friends, using a customer’s existing Rogers wireless number.
Using Rogers One Number, Rogers wireless customers can talk and text from a computer using an existing Rogers wireless number; manage emails and text messages from the secure and personalized Rogers One Number website; sync and combine all contacts across a mobile phone and computer; switch calls seamlessly between computer and wireless device without interruption; and call any Canadian number for free using their personal computers, from anywhere in the world that they have an internet connection.
“Rogers One Number is unique in Canada. Its successful launch, including the positive consumer and market response leaves us very optimistic about the future of this service and the possibilities to deploy similar offerings,” says OnMobile CEO & co-founder, Arvind Rao. “We look forward to continuing to work on the Rogers One Number platform by providing superior services such as our video capabilities and cloud services to help Rogers provide even more value for their customers.”
