ROK Powers Russian Mobile TV Launch

ROK Entertainment Group, the UK-based mobile technologies, applications and services company, and KOX TV, the Russian-based Mobile TV service company, have announced the launch of a carrier-agnostic streamed Mobile TV service in Russia, branded KOX TV.
The service is aimed at those customers of Russian operators Beeline, Megafone, MTS and Tele2 who have a data package included in their mobile tariff. KOX TV comprises 12 looped and on-demand TV channels and is priced at 247 Rubles (5.42) per month, with the first two weeks viewing free.
There are 6 Russian-language TV channels in the KOX TV line-up, including Auto +, Antimult TV, Comedy TV, Russian Night, Ocean TV, and Music Box Russia, as well as six English-language TV channels, including Future Shorts, X-Fighters, Bollywood News, Eye Music Network and ROK Tube.
We are delighted to be launching the first ever carrier-agnostic streamed Mobile TV service in Russia, which we have done in response to our expectation of significant demand for live and on-demand mass-market Mobile TV in that country, from the ever-growing number of people with compatible handsets and a data package included in their mobile tariff, says ROK Chairman, Jonathan Kendrick.
