The London Evening Standard has launched its first mobile application. The app, created by Handmark, is immediately available to download free on virtually any smartphone, including iPhone, Nokia (S60 5th edition), BlackBerry, Android, and Windows Mobile devices. Handmark’s Mobile Publishing Platform supports development across a wide range of mobile devices.
The app provides readers with instant, real-time access to the latest London Evening Standard news and information. News categories include Business, Sport, Showbiz and Life & Style. Articles from the mobile app can be saved for later reading and also shared via email and social networking sites.
“As one of the first media companies in Europe to launch a rich, connected mobile application across all major mobile platforms, the London Evening Standard continues to prove their leadership in delivering on the interests of their readers,” says Handmarl CEO, Paul Reddick. “We are pleased to support the launch of the London Evening Standard mobile app and look forward to continue innovating and expanding the mobile experience for their customers.”
