Stephen Fry has put his highly sought after digital stamp on a platform that enables users to broadcast animated shows of themselves direct to their Twitter followers.
HeadcastLab has termed its technology ‘visual tweets’, bringing an interactive, animated version of you to life using an audio recording of your voice and a team of animators. HeadcastLab offers its customers various ways to monetise when using the platform as a marketing tool – paid app, freemium, ad-sponsored or a combination.
The C-Level team not only make interesting animated people, but also interesting reading. CEO Chris Chapman used to work on the BBC’s pupper show Spitting Image. Director David Gilbert has worked in senior roles for Dixons, Waterstones and Currys. The company has received funding from the EU.
Stephen Fry’s app, Fry, is available on iOS now – no Android option for the platform at the moment. Apart from the virtual version of him of course.
Can’t help but feel it’s just like seeing Fry on TV. But a bit weirder.
