Our first print edition of Mobile Marketing magazine is available at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, and if youre not
heading out there, you can get it in digital form too. We were planning to hold off publicising the online version until next week to tie in with the availability of the print edition, but someone who has seen it has tweeted about it, and as you realise, once that's happened, it's pretty much pointless trying to keep it a secret.
Its an
action-packed issue, featuring articles on mobile advertising, mobile
applications, Location-based Services, Augmented Reality, QR Codes and
NFC (Near Field Communications). We also have a piece by WPP CEO, Sir
Martin Sorrell, in which he shares his views on mobile as a marketing
channel, and an interview with Mobile Interactive Group (MIG) CEO Barry
Houlihan, in which he outlines the factors behind the companys massive
growth.
We also reveal the results of an exclusive study carried
out for us by Lightspeed Research, into the apps and services that
people really want on their mobile phones. The magazine also features
our new logo, which will go live online when the new site launches in a
few weeks time. So enjoy those iconic old transmitters while you can! The new site will feature an email sign up so you can register for news and events alerts, and to find out when there's a new issue of the print/digital magazine available.
If
youre heading to the show, you can pick up a copy of the magazine from
the Networking Lounge in Hall 2 and the App Lounge in the App Planet
section of the show in Hall 7. If youre not (or even if you are in
fact), you can access a digital version of the magazine here.
We
hope you enjoy the magazine, the first of many to come, and if you have any thoughts on what youd
like to see in the next issue, wed be happy to hear them.
