Mobizar, which provides SMS, MMS, WAP and 3G services for the UK and Indian markets, has announced a change of name to Tanla Mobile. Mobizar has been operating in the UK since 2005. The name change is designed to better reflect its relationship with its parent company, Indian telecom provider Tanla Solutions.
Tanla Mobile provides a portfolio of mobile solutions for content and brand owners, marketing and digital agencies, media channels, retailers and corporate businesses to entertain and communicate with their customers. The companys core billing and delivery offerings are complemented by a product suite of campaign management, content management, 3G Video and interactive TV management applications, all of which are integrated with online reporting and CRM tools. The company also has access to large development team based in Hyderabad, India.
Text to Win competitions and bulk SMS voting will remain popular, but the market for mobile services is evolving and, as such, there is a clear demand for a new type of service provider, says Tanla Mobile Director of Global Business Development, Gautam Sabharwal. We can meet the demand with our extensive range of mobile solutions that address the different needs of very different markets.
The company has made a number of key appointments in support of its plans. Louise Ford and Rick Madden have both joined from PNC Telecom Services, where Ford was Head of Mobile Services, responsible for mobile strategy including billing, applications, content and services; and Madden was Business Development Manager, responsible for the design and implementation of PNCs dating products.
