EE Celebrates 1m 4G Customers

EE’s 4G userbase has grown by more than 300,000 from July to September, meaning the company now has 1m customers using its superfast mobile broadband.

EE announced that it had 687,000 customers when it revealed its H1 results, growing from 318,000 at the end of March. The company launched its 4G network in October last year, while competitors Vodafone and O2 both made theirs available on 29th August 2013.

According to EEs Mobile Living Index, men were by far the earlier adopters of 4G, but EE customers are now 58 per cent male, 42 per cent female. People aged 25 to 34 are most likely to have upgraded. For more insights into 4G usage, see the full report here.
