Mobile Campaign Targets 250m Users

Wireless technology company Addictive Mobility has launched its first bilingual mobile campaign for Ninemuse recording artist Chantal Chamandy, an Egyptian-born, Montreal-raised singer who is known for her sensual vocals, and for singing in five different languages. The campaign, running now in Canada, and scheduled to launch in the US and Egypt, which will connect the singer to a 250 million mobile subscribers. Addictive says this is the first time it has run a bilingual mobile campaign that includes cross-country connectivity and bilingual access. Expansion into Egypt is scheduled for fall 2007.
The campaign includes a competition for fans to win an all-inclusive trip to Egypt to see Chantal perform live at the pyramids. Fans of the singer will also be able to hear her on their mobile, and access exclusive content via a microsite which will deliver wallpapers and ringtones to mobiles.
“By giving the fans a chance to listen to Chantals music through their cell phones before buying, a larger market is reached, with the amount of cell phone users worldwide says Addictive Director Nussar Ahmad. An artist with such international appeal requires a type of connectivity to her fans that only mobile promotions can provide.”
