Mobile Distillery Reveals Celsius Uptake

Moibile Distillery, the specialist Java and BREW mobile porting software company, has revealed that a growing number of companies engaged in mobile development have chosen to use its Celsius platform to help them reduce time to market and lower the development and porting costs for mobile applications. The companies join the growing list of developers and publishers already using Mobile Distillerys development toolset.
Built on a rich media and connectivity feature set, Celsius was designed from the ground up with open and plug-in technology capabilities to bring flexibility to developers, whatever their focus. Using the various tools within Celsius, developers can address the full range of mobile functions through a single user interface. Over the last two years Mobile Distillery has added a host of new features for mobile application developers, including support for Flash Like Forms, Enhanced HTTP and Java-to-BREW porting.
The latest companies to use Mobile Distillerys Celsius platform include Overblog, which allows consumers to easily create their own blogs; EchoTranslator, a new software application that turns your mobile phone into a talking translator; multimedia marketing agency Cube X agency; D-Mailer, a software company specialising in portable backup and synchronization solutions for a range of mobile devices; and Senda, a mobility-oriented expertise and software company.
We are seeing more and more mobile applications being created which are leveraging existing Internet services, from banking to transportation, via tourism or education applications, says Mobile Distillery Co-Founder and General Manager, Vincent Berge. What these all have in common is the need to deliver a robust and dependable service over a wide range of handsets. Celsius is helping these companies deliver comprehensive handset support with maximum efficiency and minimal cost.
Over 300 programmers worldwide are trained to use the Celsius platform, with over 200 mobile applications and games already produced or in production using Celsius.
