Orange Launches Weekly Music Show

Orange has launched a weekly online music round up, The Music Show, which is available via the Orange website and on Orange customers handsets through Orange World. The roll-out follows a successful trial during the Glastonbury festival, where one episode was filmed and uploaded daily.
The weekly six-minute clip will include exclusive music news, interviews with big name bands, track-by-track album reviews by the artists themselves, and monthly live sessions. The show will also include the Orange Press Pass, where a fan gets the opportunity to meet their music heroes backstage at a gig.
Artists featured on the show to date include indie band Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, R&B star Estelle, plus the smooth sounds of Sam Sparro and James Blunt.
The launch of The Music Show further proves that Orange is committed to music in all its forms, says Orange UK Head of Music Partnerships, Richard Wheeler. It will showcase top quality exclusive content, with the very best bands and artists every week. The Music Show will also highlight other music content and offerings on the portals that users will be interested in via various dynamic links.
The Music Show is created in a format tailor-made for Orange by content partner Somethin Else, whose Director of Strategy, Paul Bennun, says:
We are delighted to have secured this contract with Orange. We share Oranges desire to produce ground-breaking multiplatform media products, and believe our experience working with music in the cross-platform arena, including with Orange, means were exactly the right company for the job.
